Graduation Crown and Optional Circle Octopus

Thursday June 4 is our Preschool Graduation Celebration. Regular time via zoom at 9:30. If your child would like to make and wear a graduation crown (completely optional and they are welcome to change their mind at anytime), please find the long folded-in-half turquoise paper. Cut the paper in half along the fold-line lengthwise. You will likely need both pieces to fit around your child’s head.Crown1 Plus Octopus Circle

Along the top of the two pieces, feel free to cut fringe, or zig zags or diamond or wave shapes. Or no shape at all.  While the two pieces lay flat let your child decorate with drawings, sea life cuts outs, pom poms, jewels, squiggly paper or anything they want.  If they want to make an octopus out of the black stickers (for the crown or for their sea life mural), find the black stickers in the Activity Bag, stick onto desired paper and draw on 8 wiggling arms. I used a bit of white-out for the mouth and glued on googly eyes. See close up below. Glue on any other desired ornamentation or decoration or artwork.

Crown 3 Plus OctopusAfter it is completely dry (no one wants glue in their hair) tape or staple the two pieces together to fit around your child’s head. Save for Thursday graduation celebration.

Of course if your child wants to wear a different crown or hat or their fire hat or no head adornments at all for the graduation celebration, that’s their choice! It’s all good!
